LinkedIn Coaching for an Experiential Creative Director

From "What do I even say?" to a confident, coherent business narrative + a spike in discovery calls

When visionary experiential creative director Adam Carnes came to HMC shortly after launching his experiential consulting business, he didn’t ask for a personal brand strategy. He just wanted to know what to say on LinkedIn without feeling like he was putting on a persona, while increasing the visibility of his work.

After six months of one-on-one LinkedIn coaching, he walked away with far more than just a sustainable LinkedIn content strategy, but also, in Adam’s words, a “personal framework” for how he talks about his work and clarity on pricing.

IN THE CLIENT'S WORDS

“Hannah’s 6-month LinkedIn coaching container was really fulfilling for me. When I came in, I was just trying to figure out what to say on LinkedIn. And I actually got a lot more out of it. What I ended up taking away was a personal framework for communicating about my work. Things like, what do I charge and why? And how do I talk about myself? Not just ‘how does a person talk about work?,’ but ‘how does Adam talk about himself and his work?’ And it was so good for me.”

Background

Adam felt split between “work Adam” and his actual self, which made it hard to talk about his expertise publicly, despite having worked with impressive brands like Samsung and Capital One. He wanted to post more consistently on LinkedIn while clearly articulating his positioning.

Solution

Adam entered Hannah’s 6-month LinkedIn coaching container simply “trying to figure out what to say on LinkedIn,” but the engagement went much deeper than drafting posts. Together, we used a custom business roadmap to first clarify his long-term direction, desired lifestyle, and business model, so his LinkedIn presence supported the bigger picture of the life and work he actually wanted.

Through structured exercises, coaching calls, and asynchronous support, we:

  • Built a low-pressure LinkedIn content strategy and relationship-building system to stay top of mind with agencies, brands, and collaborators.
  • Defined what long-term success actually looked like for Adam’s business and lifestyle.
  • Refined his offers and pricing to better reflect the value he provides as an experiential creative director.
  • Researched his ideal client profile (ICP) to better understand their desires, pain points, and decision drivers.
  • Developed differentiated messaging and positioning he could use on LinkedIn, in his portfolio, during discovery calls, and when he talks about his business IRL.

Results

By the end of the engagement, Adam felt confident talking about himself and his work — on LinkedIn and in real life. He had pricing clarity, differentiated brand messaging, and a repeatable system for promoting his business on LinkedIn in a way that feels authentic and sustainable for him.

  • “It was so satisfying to be myself and not feel compartmentalized between work identity and Adam identity.”
