My First Article for ULI’s Urban Land Magazine: The Future of China’s Property Sector

I recently had the opportunity to put my journalist hat back on—figuratively, of course, as my curly hair doesn’t approve of actual hats—and write my first commercial real estate article for Urban Land magazine.

The article covers the APAC Symposium at the Urban Land Institute’s (ULI) Fall Meeting. It focuses on how China’s policies under President Xi Jinping—whose distaste for the property sector is apparent in his catchphrase “houses are for living in, not for speculation”—impact the economy and commercial real estate.

I wrote a second article out of the Symposium, coming soon. Stay tuned.

My background is in journalism, but these days, I’m primarily running my content marketing business, which entails planning and writing B2B thought leadership content (white papers, blogs, LinkedIn articles, etc.) that markets the expertise of leaders and companies, growing their credibility, authority, and brand salience.

Because of my background — I led real estate coverage at The Los Angeles Business Journal, launched the L.A. bureau of the real estate publication The Real Deal as its founding editor, and, after pivoting to content marketing, directed thought leadership content for the U.S. at JLL— commercial real estate, including proptech, is the number one industry I serve. It was fun to return to my roots while speaking to an audience of CRE professionals I work with daily. I hope you’ll find it informative and engaging.
